Amanda C. Hembree, MA, CCC-SLP


Amanda C. Hembree, MA CCC-SLP is a Speech-Language Pathologist with expertise in voice and swallowing disorders, adult language disorders, neurological disorders of speech and swallowing and post-surgical head and neck rehabilitation. Ms. Hembree is a graduate of Valparaiso University and received her Master's Degree in Speech - Language Pathology from New York University.

Ms. Hembree currently holds a clinical adjunct position at New York University providing clinical information to graduate students. Ms. Hembree is the Clinical Coordinator of the New York Center for Voice and Swallowing Disorders, under the Medical Direction of Dr. Andrew Blitzer. Ms. Hembree also is the Supervisor of Speech Pathology for Visiting Nurse Service of NY, Home Care. In addition to a private practice clinical position in the Head & Neck Surgical Group, she is employed by North General Hospital Center's Speech & Hearing Department and Director of that Department.

Ms. Hembree's article titled Dysphagia Evaluation and Treatment was recently published in Operative Techniques in Otolaryngology and she is currently doing research on clinical methods of evaluating patients with swallowing disorders.
