LASER SKIN RESURFACING
Carbon dioxide and Erbium-Yag laser resurfacing has all but replaced more traditional methods of skin resurfacing such as chemical peels and dermabrasion. These lasers allow safe, precise, and layered excision of wrinkled and discolored skin. Resurfaced skin has a healthier rejuvenated appearance. Laser skin resurfacing can be combined with other cosmetic procedures such as facelift or blepharoplasty to enhance those results. A dressing is applied at the end of the procedure and skin heals in 5 to 12 days. There may be a variable degree of redness for several weeks after the procedure. Cosmetics help camouflage this redness.
