Daniel Kuriloff, MD, FACS
Daniel B. Kuriloff, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a board certified Head and Neck Surgeon who has specific expertise in thyroid & parathyroid surgery, cancer surgery, and reconstructive techniques. He is the Chief of Head and Neck Endocrine Surgery at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center and also Director of the Center for Thyroid & Parathyroid Surgery of The New York Head and Neck Institute.
He received his medical training from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. After completing two years of general surgery training at Albany and Beth Israel medical Centers, he pursued his Otolaryngology training at The New York Medical College Affiliated Hospitals and The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He completed a Fellowship for Advanced Training in Head and Neck Cancer Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Microvascular Surgery at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Kuriloff was honored as the recipient of the prestigious Investigator Development Award from The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also a recipient of the distinguished Service Award from the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. Dr. Kuriloff has been recognized by various organizations, such as Castle Connolly's “Top Doctors in the New York Metro Area”, New York Magazine's 2008 edition of "Best Doctors," listed by Consumers Research Council of America in The Guide to America’s Top Physicians, and was cited by Key Professional Media in the New York Times Magazine as a 2008 & 2010 Super Doctor, or "one of the top 5% of New York City physicians in more than 30 specialties." Dr. Kuriloff contributes to medical journals and textbooks and is a peer reviewer for medical journals on the subject of thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
Dr. Kuriloff is an Associate Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is an Assistant Attending on the Otolaryngology Service at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He is also on the attending staff at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.
Dr. Kuriloff routinely performs ultrasound guided aspiration biopsies in his office for rapid diagnosis and treatment. He is constantly teaching and conducts clinical research to stay on the cutting edge of his specialty.
