Medical Acupuncture and Otolaryngology
Acupuncture is an ancient and effective method of medical treatment. First developed in China over 3000 years ago, acupuncture is now used by physicians world wide for the management of many medical and psychological problems.
Medical acupuncture is particularly effective for ear, nose and throat disorders. Many ENT disorders are brought on by stress, excessive tension and related weakness in immune response. Often, such problems respond dramatically to acupuncture, or a combination of acupuncture and conventional Western medical treatment.
At the Head and Neck Surgical Group, Dr. Anthony Jahn and Dr.Isaac Namdar offer acupuncture as part of their practice in Otolaryngology. Both physicians have completed additional training in medical acupuncture, and are licensed by the State of New York to practice medical acupuncture.
Dr. Jahn and Dr. Namdar have found that, in combination with modern Western medical methods, acupuncture may offer a highly effective treatment option for common ENT disorders, often without the need for medications or surgery. In addition to relieving the physical symptoms of common ENT disorders, acupuncture can also effectively address the stress and emotional problems that these medical conditions create.
